See this face? This is the serious face.

Holding a DSLR steady with a giant zoom on the front takes a bit of effort, which has led to some pretty whacky facial expressions over the years. Case in point...was trying to see if the flash was going to fire and ended up with this. Taken at the overlook outside of Williamsport, PA (home of the Little League World Series) on our way back from a weekend in Durham. Good to get some time off and see the family. Also got to have lunch with my photography teacher from high school who was a tremendous inspiration to me. She's recently completed her masters and made some really interesting mixed media work for her thesis. Now back to the grind in Rochester, hopefully should have some work up from the current project soon...

Suicide Six...err Five

Well, this pretty much sums up Sunday's Suicide Six race at Harriet Hollister State Park in Canadice. Rain rain rain, mud mud mud. The entire time. The organizers smartly shortened the race by an hour, which is saying something, considering this is the same crew who run the Hardcore 24, another race which has seen considerable rains in the last couple of years. Nonetheless, 100+ racers toed the line and threw it down around a 7 mile loop with roughly 800 feet of vertical per lap for five hours plus a lap. Always fun to shoot muddy bike racers. Pictures will be up @ Smugmug later tonight.

That's right, we do not put mayonnaise on our hot dogs.

Oh blog, you've been neglected so the past few weeks.

But I'm going to make up for it. Because this weekend I was interviewed by a man in a hot dog costume. While shooting a 24 Hour mountain bike race. But who really cares about the race when Jonah D. is on the mic dressed as a hot dog.

New gallery/eCommerce site is up and running. http://ltbphoto.smugmug.com. It's been a long time coming, but here it is. Check it out.

Started a new project last Friday, shooting some of the buildings at work before they come down. Even busted out the old medium format gear and TX400. Hopefully I'll figure out some way to scan the film (once I actually get around to processing it) and get some images up.

Did I really make up for two weeks without posting in one post? Ehh, maybe not. Better post more...
